Final Orbit Movie in 2011

Director John Moore (who once brought us Max Payne) has been hired to tackle the movie adaptation of Final Orbit, a graphic novel by Platinum Studios Comics which hasn't been published yet. Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Chairman and CEO of Platinum Studios, and Gal Anne Hurd (we may thank her for the Terminator series, Aliens, The Incredible Hulk) are producing the film. The Final Orbit movie is set to be released in 2011.

Here's a sketch from the Final Orbit graphic novel:

Official plot synopsis:
"Final Orbit tells the story of some lottery winners who are vacationing on the International Space Station but when it is damaged, the vacation becomes a nightmare, trapping the tourists alone in a crippled module with no astronauts to help them."

Nightmare would be the right word for such a situation! God, I'd be faint if I was stuck like those unfortunate space tourists!

A few words from Gale Anne Hurd head of Valhalla Motion Pictures about Final Orbit:

"Final Orbit has all of the classic cat-and-mouse, edge-of-your-seat elements to be a fantastic white-knuckle thriller. Being able to develop the motion picture alongside the comic book allows for the cross pollination of creative ideas that benefit both avenues."
Producer Gale Anne Hurd

But the movie will definitely have to explain why people without training have been allowed to go in space... I would have thought that some training would be a prerequisite before going in space.
Well, we'll probably get more details about the movie Final Orbit soon!
